B.A.N. (Books Are Necessary) Essay

I was a writing contestant for the 30th Annual Ray Bradbury Creative Contest at the Waukegan Public Library, Illlinois. Ray Bradbury, a Waukegan native, is the author of the book, Fahrenheit 451. Ray Bradbury saw the destruction of books due to book burning and banning of literary classics due to sensitive, controversial content.

The theme of this year's contest was to write (or illustrate) "what would the future look like without the written word?" "What if your freedom to read and learn disappeared?" "How do you feel about the banning of books?"

I decided to write how I felt about the banning of books.
